A firehouse station for choice time??! Ooh the kids love love it!! June is our community helpers month and I try to turn our pretend play centers to something really fun.
A firestation will not be complete without a fire truck. This was handcrafted by my TA using a box and some paper. We put chairs inside and the children pretend to drive the truck.
Here is our fire hydrant with matching and fire extinguisher made by my amazing TAs:
On one side of the classroom, I turned the kitchen around and placed the hats and fireman clothes:

This is such a fun choice time for the kids and they loved pretending putting the fire out. They especially love the fire truck. Definitely doing it again next year!
