DIAPER CADDY

When I started organizing the nursery, I knew that a changing table was out of the question because of the limited space that we had.  As an alternative, I opted for a diaper caddy that I could bring from the bedroom to the living room and vice versa.

NEUTRAL NURSERY

Our nursery has a neutral palette because I wanted the nursery to blend with our bedroom.  My husband and I live in a one bedroom apartment and the nursery is situated right in front of our bed.  I am not a fan of color as my friends will attest to and pink is not something that I would want to wake up to every morning.

ORGANIZING TINY BABY CLOTHES

Baby clothes are teeny tiny and there's a lot of them!  There's the short sleeve onesie, the long sleeve onesie, the pajama, the footed pajama, the burp cloths... the list goes on.  If you're a mom, you're probably nodding your head with a smirk on your face right now saying "oh yeah" and if you're not a mom you're probably scratching your head and thinking "how could a tiny baby have so much stuffs?"  Of course being the OC that I am, I just had to organize my daughter's drawer.

DIY BAPTISM FAVORS

It has been a week since my daughter got baptized.  We were blessed to have our family and friends with us as we welcomed Loren to the Christian world.  We gave out rosary rings as favors for her baptism reception.  It came out much better than I have expected and I was really happy with the finished product.

DIY TRIANGLE ART

When I was decorating the nursery,  I wanted a neutral art wall that my daughter will not outgrow.  In one of my searches, I came across a triangle art 'Mountain' by concretehoney in Etsy.  I recreated this art using neutral colors (dark gray and light gray) but on a much bigger scale.

HOW TO STORE BABY'S NEW CLOTHES

This is a long over due post (after all, my baby is now 2 months old!) on how to organize baby clothes for storage.  After my baby showers, I was faced with the dilemma of figuring out how to store the clothes I got for my daughter.  I have to confess that before I got pregnant, I didn't know that baby clothes were sized by month --- NB, 0-3, 3-6, etc.  I was confused on how some sizes' overlapped like 3-6 months and 3-9 months or 6-12 months and 6-9 months.  So, when I was deciding on how to store my daughter's clothes, it was important to me that I could easily sort through the clothes to make sure I know which she can already use and which she already has so I won't buy doubles.  Since I didn't have a lot to store and I wanted to maximize space (I wanted to use the space under the crib), I opted to use an underbed shoe organizer over clear bins and over sized Ziploc bags.

DIY ELEPHANT GARLAND

When I was doing my daughter's nursery, I was obsessed with Etsy and Pinterest. I searched day in and day out of how I want to decorate the nursery.  Since the nursery will be housed in the same bedroom my husband and I sleep in, it had to be something that I could live with it.  Translation: no cutesy pink stuff or ruffles because we would be waking up to it every single morning for as long as we have a one bedroom.  In one of my searches, I came across garlands as a decor.  What a genius idea!  But I wasn't buying a $20 one if I could make one! I had everything I needed to make this project --- card stock, transparent tape, scissors, string and a sharpie. I googled "elephant template"  and chose one that I like, I cut the template and traced it on my card stock.  I used a sharpie to draw dots along the edges because the color I chose was very light and it blended on the wall.  The one on Etsy did not have dotted lines but I like the way mine came out.  To add a hint of color, I used yellow wooden clippers to finish the look.
